The protection of geographical indications following the overhaul of the European Union Trade Mark regulation : an end result ?

Twenty years of the Boards of Appeal; twenty years of case-Iaw enshrined in an overhaul of the European Union trade mark Regulation. Is this an end result? A completed work? An ‘end to the story’ of trade mark law in the European Union? Certainly not. And even less so in the field of geographical indications (Gis), where so much remains to be written and interpreted. This short study aims to lend weight to that assertion.
